Homeopath, Reflexologist and Massage Therapist

Karen Newton M.A.R, M.H.M.A. is a Reflexologist, Homoeopath and Massage Therapist based in Wiltshire.  She works from clinics in Melksham, Bradford on Avon and Chipping Sodbury.  In March 2005 she gained the post of part-time complementary therapist at Dorothy House Hospice in Winsley.

My interest in complementary medicine began in 1980 when I trained as a manager for a Holland and Barrett Health Food Store in London. One of my customers was training to be a reflexologist and showed me points to work on my feet and hands for a stiff neck.  Five years later I was training at the International Institute of Reflexology in Sacramento, U.S.A.
Since 1994 I have been a member of the Association of Reflexologists and regularly attend CPD (continuing professional development) lectures in London.  In 2002 I started teaching reflexology evening classes at the City of Bath College.
My homoeopathic training was with the British School of Homoeopathy where I qualified in 1995 and I am now registered with the Homoeopathic Medical Association.  Since then I have attended seminars from some of the world’s leading homoeopaths.
In 2002 furthered my skills in manual therapies and trained in Massage and Indian Head Massage.
I have added a further dimension to my work as a reflexologist by completing a course in Nerve or Neuro Reflexology in 2004.  The new techniques taught on this course have already proved invaluable to my practice this year.
